For our first event of the new DCBC Season, we invited Alberta High-Speed Rail (2005) Inc. for a presentation on the High Speed Rail connection between Calgary and Edmonton. We are pleased to present the following guest speaker:

Alberta High-Speed Rail (2005) Inc was founded by a small group of visionary transportation professionals who have identified the Edmonton-Red Deer-Calgary corridor as an ideal candidate for a high-speed rail technology.

Walcheren Ceremony


Walcheren Ceremony
The Calgary Highlanders cordially invite the Dutch community to join them in commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the Battle for the Walcheren Causeway, a significant battle honour in the regiment’s history. Following this year’s full dress parade there will be a change of command ceremony between Lieutenant Colonel Tom Manley and Lieutenant Colonel Mike Vernon.
Irene Bakker Hon. Consul of the Netherlands will be the inspecting VIP of the parade.

SOIL SANITATION
A delegation of Dutch companies will be coming to
Alberta to investigate the subject of soil sanitation. The delegation will be lead by TNO and includes the following companies: Bio Soil, HMTV and het Nederlandse Soil Partnership.
We would like to invite you for a dinner followed by a presentation. TNO will do a presentation regarding soil sanitation in The Netherlands - and outline what they want to achieve here in Canada.
After the presentation, via round-table discussion, all companies would like to learn more about conduc
ting business in
Alberta.

New Years Reception / Wine and Beer Tasting Event at CSN Wine and Spirits

The Future of Agriculture in Alberta
As Board of the DCBC we would like to invite you to attend the DCBC meeting on February 8, 2008.
At this meeting the Honourable George Groeneveld, Minister of Agriculture and Food for Alberta, will speak about the Future of Agriculture in Alberta.
This evening will be very interesting and informative, whether you work in Agriculture or not.
We would greatly appreciate your attendance at this meeting and remember, this is also an excellent opportunity to bring colleagues and business partners!
